The Good, The Bad, The Chalk, The Pivot & The Sleeper

    The Good:
    • Rory McIlroy (DK $11200) - Back on Rory. He is still elite. The last two weeks have scared people away with below-average (for Rory’s standards) results. Primed for a bounce back.
    • Justin Thomas (DK $10800) - JT has been trending way up the last few tournaments and lurking around the top of the leaderboard. Poa is his best surface. He will win again soon.

    The Bad:
    • Victor Hovland ($7800) - Superb ball striker but his short game is not great. Poa is also his weakest putting surface. I’ll take a pass this week.

    The Chalk:
    • Bryson DeChambeau ($11000) - His quarantine workouts must have done wonders for his swing with a T8 and T3 last two weeks. He’s also played the Travelers (unlike some of the top golfers this week) and has a T8 and T9 in his last two starts. Deserves to be chalk.

    The Pivot:
    • Patrick Cantlay ($9800) from DeChambeau. People might be scared to play Cantlay since this is his first start post-quarantine and fear rust. He is among the top in all stat categories. He is also on a 17 made cut streak with 7 top 9s and a win at Memorial. Don’t fear the rust.

    The Sleeper:
    • Jason Day ($7500) - At first glance, Day’s recent form is scary with 3 MC in a row but that includes pre-quarantine. I can buy Charles Schwab was due to rust, and he missed the cut last week by only 2 strokes. Now he’s at a course where he’s finished T8 and T12 in his last two starts. Nobody will own him.
