The Good, The Bad, The Chalk, The Pivot & The Sleeper

    The Good:
    • Rory McIlroy (DK $11800) - He’s number one in the world for a reason.
    • Jon Rahm (DK $11000) - He absolutely can be number one. Forget his missed cut last year. He finished T5 the year before and has been playing like fire before quarantine.

    The Bad:
    • Dustin Johnson ($9500) - Hasn’t been himself lately and had been losing strokes tee to green and on approach prior to the quarantine. His swing looked terrible during the charity event and he’s never played Colonial.
    • Colin Morikawa ($9100) - One of the top rookies and currently holds the the longest consecutive cuts made at 21. But his short game is terrible and Colonial nasty bunkering will break his made cut streak.

    The Chalk:
    • Webb Simpson ($9800) - Has been heavily touted and rightfully so. He hasn’t missed a cut since last year’s Valspar and has a win and multiple runner ups in that span. Eat the chalk.
    • Patrick Reed ($9200) - I’m not sure why people like him. I guess six top 9s with one win and one MC in his last 10 starts is pretty good. He doesn’t woo you with elite stats but he does everything well stat wise.

    The Pivots:
    • Rickie Fowler ($9400) from Simpson - Strangely enough Rickie might get overlooked because of who he is surrounded by in salary. Yes he MCd last year at Colonial but he is as steady eddy a golfer as you can get. He might be a surprise on Sunday with a well rounded game.
    • Marc Leishman ($8900) from Reed - Leishman is the forgotten Aussie behind Scott and to certain extent Day. People probably already forgot he just won the Farmers and came runner up at the API.

    The Sleeper:
    • Rory Sabbatini ($7200) - The boy from Bratislava was a DFS darling last year but started the year with a few missed cuts. He quietly made a rebound and made 3 straight cuts before the quarantine. He’s has made the cut twice at Colonial including a T6 last year.
